The Blend

• Mugwort — the witch's herb of prophecy and spirit travel; enhances dreams, psychic vision, and communication with the unseen
• Lavender — calms the conscious mind so the spirit can speak; creates a peaceful, protected space for connection
• Rose Buds & Petals — the flower of love and remembrance; calls in spirits with warmth, tenderness, and an open heart
• Elderberries — sacred to the Elder Mother; a traditional portal herb used in folk magic to honor ancestors and commune with the dead

How to Brew

Add just a pinch of tea to a strainer and pour 8 oz of boiling water over it. Let steep for only a few seconds, then remove the strainer immediately — the flavor is very potent and the magic is quick to release. Add milk and honey if desired to soften and sweeten.

A Simple Ritual for Summoning

1. Brew your cup as directed and find a quiet, dimly lit space.
2. Light a white or black candle and place a photo or memento of your loved one nearby.
3. Hold the warm cup in both hands and close your eyes. Breathe slowly and say aloud or in your heart: “I open this space with love. I call to [name] with an open heart. If you are near, I welcome your presence.”
4. Sip slowly. Notice any feelings, images, scents, or thoughts that arise — these may be their way of reaching back.
5. When you are finished, thank them for their presence and extinguish the candle to close the ritual.
